IHF Hospital and Healthcare Association Leadership Summit –Sun City, South Africa: AN EVENT TO SAVE IN YOUR CALENDAR!
The 3rd Edition of the Hospital and Healthcare Association Leadership Summit of the International Hospital Federation will be held 5-6 June 2012 in Sun City, South Africa and will be hosted by the Department of Health, South Africa.
The First Edition of the event, held in May 2009 in Paris, France and hosted by the French Hospital Federation, marked the beginning of a new direction for the IHF and for its members. Since this time, the event has grown in importance and relevance as an instrument by which IHF is able to fulfill its mandate inserving as a platform for knowledge sharing and discussion as well as its useas an effective advocacy strategy for hospitals and hospital associations. This event is by invitation and is open only to IHF members, Corporate Partners as well as qualified potential IHF members. By restricting participation an arena for the frank exchange of concerns, opinions and ideas is created.
Through the sessions, it is hoped that as broad a range as possible of experiences will be shared among participants. In addition, recommendations and position statements which emerge following discussions by IHF Governing Council and members would be adopted and distributed to the global health community. The planned evening social events should also encourage the formation and strengthening of relationships among the participants. The working language of the event will be English.
